Juroku Bank becomes Top lender in Tokai Region

(GIFU-Kyodo) Juroku Bank, based in Gifu Prefecture, on Tuesday became the top lender among regional banks headquartered in three prefectures in the Tokai region after absorbing its subsidiary Gifu Bank.

The combined outstanding deposit of Juroku Bank and Gifu Bank totaled 4.98 trillion yen as of the end of June, exceeding other regional lenders based in Gifu, Aichi and Mie prefectures.

Of the 48 branches of Gifu Bank, nine became new branches of Juroku Bank and the operations of the remaining 39 branches were integrated into existing Juroku Bank branches.
